The Monroe starts with a blank piece of soft cream canvas and a paintbrush.

Before it ever becomes a handbag, I create the art.

Each circle, line, stripe and brushstroke is painted by my hand in rich chocolate tones. Nothing is digitally printed onto the canvas, and there isn't a machine reproducing the design. What you see is the actual artwork I created.

Once the painting is complete, I take that original canvas and transform it into The Monroe.

The design features two statement front pockets with hand-painted chocolate-and-cream striped detailing, an oversized coordinating bow and a genuine leather handle. Inside, The Monroe is fully lined and finished with an interior pocket.

The Monroe is a handbag style that I can create again.

I can recreate the shape, the two front pockets, the oversized bow and the chocolate-and-cream color story.

But I cannot duplicate the artwork.

Because every detail is painted by hand, I can't place every circle, stripe, line or brushstroke in exactly the same position twice. One stripe may be wider. A circle may fall in another place. A brushstroke may take a slightly different direction.

Those differences are intentional.

They're what make each piece an original.

So yes, another woman may own The Monroe.

But she won't own your Monroe.
