The Madison is a signature handbag style that I can create again.
The shape of the bag can be the same. I can bring back the rich chocolate stripes, the oversized bow and the overall look that makes The Madison recognizable.
But here's what I can't recreate exactly:
The artwork.
Every stripe, line, circle and painted detail is created by my hand. I'm not working from a machine-printed design where everything lands in exactly the same place every time.
So even if I sit down tomorrow with the same cream canvas, the same chocolate paint and the intention of creating another Madison, it won't be identical to the one I made today.
One stripe may be a little wider. A line may fall in a different place. A circle may be slightly larger. And once I fold and construct that painted canvas into the handbag, the artwork will reveal itself differently on every bag.
That's what makes each Madison its own original piece.
The style can be recreated. The artwork cannot be duplicated.
So if you fall in love with The Madison, yes, I can create another Madison.
But the one you receive will have something that belongs only to your bag:
its own hand-painted artwork.
That's the beauty of handmade.
Not perfectly duplicated.
